What is porcelain veneers?
A porcelain veneer is an ultra-thin, custom-made shell of dental ceramic that is permanently bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers instantly correct chips, gaps, permanent stains that whitening can't remove, and uneven or worn tooth shapes — while looking completely natural, because porcelain reflects light the same way real enamel does. Treatment takes just two visits. At Dental Spot in Kankarbagh, Patna, Dr. Priya uses a minimal-preparation technique that preserves as much of your natural enamel as possible, and each veneer is individually crafted to match the exact shade and translucency of your neighbouring teeth.
Benefits
- Transforms chipped, gapped, stained, or uneven teeth in just 2 visits
- Completely natural look — porcelain mimics real enamel's translucency
- Fixes deep stains that whitening cannot (fluorosis, tetracycline marks)
- Minimal-prep technique preserves your natural tooth structure
- Stain-resistant — porcelain doesn't yellow with tea or coffee like natural enamel
What to expect
Your visit at our Patna clinic, step by step.
- 1
Smile consultation
Dr. Priya studies your smile, discusses the shape and shade you want, and confirms how many veneers you actually need — often fewer than patients expect.
- 2
Preparation & impression
A wafer-thin layer of enamel is prepared, a precise impression is taken, and temporary cover is placed. The impression goes to the lab for custom crafting.
- 3
Custom crafting
Your veneers are individually made to match the agreed shade, shape, and translucency — not picked from a standard set.
- 4
Bonding & finish
At the second visit, each veneer is checked against your smile in natural light, then permanently bonded and polished. You walk out with the final result.
Frequently asked questions
How much do veneers cost in Patna?
At Dental Spot, porcelain veneers start from ₹8,000 per tooth. Many patients need only 2–6 veneers on the visible front teeth rather than a full set — Dr. Priya will tell you the honest minimum your smile needs at consultation.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Typically 10–15 years, often longer with good care. Porcelain is highly stain-resistant and durable. Avoiding nail-biting, pen-chewing and using teeth to open packets is the main rule.
Do veneers damage your natural teeth?
No — only a very thin layer of enamel (about the thickness of a fingernail) is prepared so the veneer sits flush. Our minimal-prep approach preserves the maximum natural tooth. The bonded veneer then actually protects the front surface.
Will veneers look fake?
Not when done properly. Each veneer is custom-crafted to match the translucency and shade of your neighbouring teeth — most people can't tell our patients have veneers at all. You approve the look before final bonding.
Veneers or whitening — which do I need?
If your teeth are healthy and evenly shaped but yellowed, whitening (from ₹3,000) is the simpler answer. Veneers are for chips, gaps, uneven shapes, or deep internal stains whitening can't touch. The Sunday consultation is free — come and get an honest answer.
